LINCOLN & DISTRICT MODEL RAILWAY CLUB AT A GLANCE
The club was formed in 1979 with its first meeting being on the 21st October 1979 with 11 members located in Lincoln, So the club has now been in existence for nearly 40 years. Unfortunately the club was forced to move out of Lincoln and we are currently located in Aisthorpe just North of Lincoln - 6miles away.
The club has several layouts already built which occasionally go out to other clubs exhibitions such as the Aisthorpe an 0 gauge layout or Peakdale an N gauge layout which have both been previously reviewed in various magazines. We also have 3 layouts currently under construction as well as a new test track which will accommodate both DC & DCC for 0, N & 00 gauges.
The club runs an Annual General Exhibition at the Newark Showground where all members can help out over the weekend which is always held on the last weekend of February. This year the club is running an additional Post Modernisation Exhibition again at the Newark Showground (Yes we can hear you shouting are you mad two exhibitions in one year)!! More details can be found elsewhere on the website.
So if you want to know more about the club or our exhibitions why not come along to one of our club nights and talk to some of the current members. We meet every Thursday from 19:00 and always have the kettle on!!
